Controller

The controller for the data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation is:

Name
Alper Özcan, Özcan Software Studio
Address
Ackerweg 15, 6840 Götzis, Österreich

Principle

This website is deliberately built to be frugal. It sets no cookies, embeds no analytics or tracking services, builds no usage profiles and shows no advertising. The fonts it uses are served from our own server, so no connection to Google Fonts is made.

Personal data is therefore only processed in the cases described below.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Deutschland. The servers are located in the Rechenzentrum Nürnberg, Deutschland. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

When you open the website, the web server automatically records the access data your browser transmits:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • the address requested and the amount of data transferred
  • HTTP status code and protocol used
  • browser type, browser version and operating system

This data is technically necessary to deliver the website, keep it stable and detect attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and functional operation under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other sources and is not evaluated for marketing purposes.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the details you enter — name, email address, company, budget range and your message — are transmitted to us so that we can answer your enquiry.

We use the Web3Forms service (web3forms.com) for delivery; it receives the form data and forwards it to our mailbox as an email. The form content is processed on the provider’s servers in doing so.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at entering into a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Providing the data is voluntary; without an email address, however, we cannot reply to you.

We keep your enquiry until it has been dealt with conclusively, and beyond that only for as long as statutory retention periods require.

Contact by email

If you write to us directly at contact@ozal.cc, we process your message and sender details solely to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR.

Storage in your browser

This website sets no cookies. It does store two values in your browser’s local storage:

  • the language you selected, so you are not redirected again on your next visit — only written once you use the language switcher
  • your choice in the consent banner, so that we do not have to ask again on every visit

These values stay on your device, are never transmitted to us and contain no personal data. They are required for the functionality you requested; the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You can delete them at any time via your browser settings.

Fonts

The Hanken Grotesk and IBM Plex Mono typefaces are served from our own server. No connection to Google or other third-party servers is established, and no IP address is passed to any third party.

Recipients of your data

Your data is only passed to the service providers named above, which act as processors on our behalf: the host for operating the website and the form service for delivering enquiries. Beyond that we do not share your data unless we are legally obliged to do so.

We do not sell data.

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

An informal message to contact@ozal.cc is enough to exercise them.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

Authority
Austrian Data Protection Authority
Address
Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, Austria

No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy whenever the technology used on the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here is the one that applies.
